Efficient Automated Order Management From Traditional Ecommerce to Odoo ERP
Overview
Our client was a supplier of a comprehensive array of sign, logo, and banner solutions. Offering an extensive product line including cutting-edge vinyl cutters, high-quality heat transfer laser printers, and efficient sublimation printers. Additionally, it provides essential accessories like transfer tape, digital printing equipment, and sturdy metal grommets and also they assemble some kit products and manufacture at their warehouse.
Challenges
Our client wanted to automate their business process for smooth order handling through Shopify to Odoo ERP Integration. The key challenges were:
- Developed an efficient API based on the different shipping connectivity.
- Implemented end-to-end accounting management within the accounting system.
- Ensured meticulous inventory management, including warehouse processing and manufacturing oversight.
- Addressed the complexity of varying tax regulations across different US states.

Conclusion
We have developed a user-friendly automation system within Odoo to generate and process orders while considering stock availability. Prioritized the sales team’s efficiency by optimizing the order management process that helped them achieve sales targets at minimum clicks and manage their inventory efficiently. We have successfully implemented an order tracking log system to track each order’s journey from Shopify to Odoo and update the order status back to Shopify. It helps sales representatives create shipping labels for import orders with just a few clicks and print the label using a cloud-based printer system.
