Position Overview
  • tick We are seeking an experienced Project Lead – Odoo to oversee the successful delivery of Odoo-based implementations and technical projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading development teams, strong technical proficiency within the Odoo framework, and familiarity with complementary frontend technologies such as React and Node.js. Deep functional knowledge of Odoo's Inventory, Manufacturing, and Purchase modules is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
  • tick Lead and mentor a team of Odoo developers, QA engineers, functional consultants, and technical resources
  • tick Drive adherence to Odoo development best practices, coding standards, and project governance frameworks
  • tick Provide overall direction to the team, ensure workload balance, and promote accountability and continuous improvement
  • tick Serve as primary escalation point for project execution challenges
  • tick Oversee custom module development, Odoo ORM operations, API integrations, and report customizations
  • tick Ensure technical designs align with Odoo architecture principles and business requirements
  • tick Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • tick Provide guidance on Odoo integrations with external systems using React, Node.js, REST APIs, and Odoo's external API frameworks
  • tick Oversee development and maintenance of web portals, PWAs, and frontend components interacting with Odoo
  • tick Define and validate Odoo deployment architectures including multi-instance setups and load balancing
  • tick Oversee server deployments for Odoo (on-premise or cloud) with configuration, scaling, and performance tuning
  • tick Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, staging environments, and automated testing frameworks
  • tick Plan, coordinate, and manage project sprints using Agile methodologies
  • tick Provide subject matter expertise for Odoo Inventory, Manufacturing, and Purchase modules
Must-Have Skills
  • tick Minimum 6 years of hands-on Odoo experience with at least 2 years in project lead, team lead, or technical lead role
  • tick Strong proficiency in Odoo backend (Python, ORM, models, workflows) and frontend (QWeb, JavaScript, OWL framework)
  • tick Experience integrating Odoo with external applications using Node.js, React, and REST APIs
  • tick Solid understanding of Odoo server architecture, PostgreSQL, system deployment, and Linux-based hosting environments
  • tick Proven experience in Agile project management and sprint execution
  • tick Strong functional understanding of Odoo Inventory, Purchasing, and Manufacturing modules
  • tick Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
  • tick Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Good-to-Have Skills
  • tick Experience with Odoo Enterprise and multi-company/multi-warehouse setups
  • tick Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/Jenkins) within Odoo environment
  • tick Experience with Odoo performance tuning, long-polling bus, caching strategies, and multi-worker setups
  • tick Knowledge of EDI implementations, API-driven workflows, or advanced logistics/production processes
