How a Telecom Provider Streamlined Kubernetes Deployment with an End-to-End Management Platform
![]()
A global networking and telecom provider delivering high-volume scraping, data routing, and analytics services needed to modernize its infrastructure to support growing customer demands. The company served multiple external customers across different countries, each operating on their own cloud environments or on-prem setups.
Their challenge was clear – deliver a consistent, high-performance Kubernetes platform to every customer, regardless of where they ran: AWS, GCP, Azure, private cloud, or in-house data centers. Because of the platform-independent design of Kubernetes and its ecosystem, the company wanted a solution that could be deployed anywhere with minimal prerequisites.
The telecom provider faced several architectural and DevOps challenges while delivering Kubernetes-based services to multiple customers:
- Complex, Repetitive Setup Across Different Environments: Each customer environment required a custom network configuration, ingress setup, cluster hardening, and persistent storage integration. This slowed down onboarding and created inconsistent deployments.
- Fragmented Tooling from Multiple Vendors: Monitoring, logging, dashboards, and CI/CD tools varied from customer to customer, making standardization impossible and drastically increasing maintenance.
- Limited End-to-End Visibility: Separate monitoring installations created blind spots and made performance troubleshooting slow, especially when customers reported latency or workload failures.
- High Operational Overheads: Scaling workloads, applying patches, and resolving cluster incidents required significant manual work across dozens of customer environments.
- Scalability Challenges for Data-Heavy Workloads: The client handled steady data processing and scraping workloads. Without unified lifecycle management and consistent storage, performance tuning was difficult.
With our end-to-end Kubernetes consulting services, we deployed a standardized, production-ready Kubernetes management platform that could be installed on any customer’s existing VMs – cloud or on-prem – without requiring them to change their infrastructure provider. The solution ensured every customer received the same high-quality, fully integrated Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Automated Kubernetes Setup on Any VM Infrastructure: We configured complete Kubernetes clusters – networking, security policies, RBAC, ingress, controllers, and resource optimizations – with zero manual tuning. Clusters became production-ready within hours, regardless of the customer’s underlying platform.
- Built-In Monitoring & Visualization (Prometheus + Grafana): The platform included real-time insights into cluster performance, node health, workload utilization, latency hotspots, and capacity planning.
- Distributed Storage with Ceph: To support high-throughput and stateful workloads, Ceph provided a robust, scalable storage backend across customer clusters. This enabled reliable data persistence and high-performance read/write operations.
- Centralized Logging: With OpenSearch, structured, searchable logs helped the telecom provider quickly diagnose failures across high-volume workloads, improving turnaround times for their customer SLAs.
- GitOps-Driven Continuous Deployment via ArgoCD: Deployments became version-controlled, automated, repeatable, and fully reversible. Every customer received consistent application rollouts with minimal manual involvement.
- Helm-Based Lifecycle & Platform Management: All platform components, including monitoring, storage, logging, and networking, were deployed and updated through standardized Helm charts. This made upgrades effortless across multiple environments.
- Unified DevOps & Managed Support: Our managed support offering enabled the provider to offload maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. This reduced dependency on in-house DevOps teams.
- Deployment Time Reduced from Weeks to Hours: Customer onboarding became dramatically faster – clusters were provisioned and functional within hours.
- Operational Efficiency Across All Customer Environments: Unified monitoring, logging, and GitOps pipelines minimized manual work, allowing DevOps teams to focus on innovation and support.
- Improved Observability Across the Entire Platform: Central dashboards delivered complete visibility for every customer deployment – container health, workload metrics, logs, and traffic patterns.
- Scalable, Multi-Environment Architecture: The platform could be installed on any VM-based infrastructure – public cloud or on-prem. This made it effortless for the provider to serve customers with diverse IT footprints.
- 30% Cost Optimization: Reduced tooling sprawl, minimized the need for external consultants, and unified DevOps processes, lowering overall operational costs.
By adopting our end-to-end Kubernetes management platform, the telecom provider transformed its fragmented deployment model into a standardized, unified, and scalable ecosystem that works across any cloud or on-prem setup. What was once a complex, inconsistent, high-maintenance infrastructure is now a streamlined, self-healing platform that can be rolled out to customers simply by providing VMs. The client now delivers reliable, high-performance Kubernetes environments to customers worldwide, without forcing them to switch clouds or modify their existing systems.
